Hygiene:-
Practicing 'good hygiene' habits helps to make your child's immune system stronger and leads to a healthy development .Teach your child good hygiene habits,like:-
  • Always wash hands before eating anything.Try to wash with tepid water as cold water is not that free from germs.
  • Personal hygiene,like,bathing and showering .
  • Oral hygiene, like,to brush the teeth atleast twice a day, everyday ,especially,in the morning and before going to bed at night, and, visiting a dentist .
  • Do Not eat anything which is expired (always see the expiry date on the label of food item, before purchasing) or is getting stale or is kept open for a long time .Germs grow on these kind of food items and can make the child sick.
  • Try to eat fresh food ,whenever possible,if you are really a busy mom, then choose frozen over canned foods,to give to your child.
  • Have atleast one meal with your kids and include all kinds of different color, vegetables and fruits, include protiens like, grains, eggs, meat etc in the meal, so that child will be inspired to eat a balanced diet. It is believed, children who eat with their parents are better in terms of physical and psychological health.
Remember-Try to put an example of you practicing good hygiene , before your child ,that can help you to teach your child in a better way for tomorrow.Your child will always look up to you, for every thing,he/she learns about hygiene.
