Trimester: Your pregnancy is divided in three trimesters .Every trimester consists of Three months each.

First trimester:-
During the first 3 months of pregnancy, or the first trimester, your body is undergoing many changes.
As your body adjusts to the growing baby, you may have

  • nausea
  • fatigue
  • backaches
  • mood swings
  • and stress.
    Just remember that these things are normal during pregnancy, as your body changes. Most of these discomforts will go away as your pregnancy progresses. And some women might not have any discomforts!
    If you have been pregnant before, you might feel differently with this pregnancy. Just as each woman is different, so is each pregnancy. And, as your body changes, you might need to make changes to your normal, everyday routine to adjust to need of the growing baby inside you. Few symptoms you may experience during the first trimester:
  • Fatigue
  • Breast tenderness
  • Increased frquency of urination.
  • Morning sickness
  • Backache.
    Due to tiredness,fatigue and vomiting ,you may not feel like eating but regular and balanced diet is very important for you during this time.
    Eat small frequent meals help to suppress the vomiting and give you energy during this stage.Usually many women experience vomit in early mornings.To avoid and suppress it ,have some complex carbohydrates such as crackers, toast, or cereal before getting out of your bed.Keep these things near your bed so that, you can have them, time to time while taking rest and keeping yourself energetic. High protein snacks such as yogurt or nuts are also useful.To maintain energy level,increase the fluid intake like,water ,juice(drink fresh as much as possible).
    Avoid caffeinated beverages,coffee and tea.Recommended tea and coffee is maximum two cups a day ,more than that is too much caffeine. Sip carbonated beverages such as ginger ale or sprite in small amounts Drink clear liquids such as: clear soups or broth, diluted Gatorade, jello water, ginger or any herbal tea with sugar, and popsicles.
