Kitchen is the most important part of a Home,a Restaurant or a Hotel.One can really enjoy cooking and dining if proper sanitation standards are maintained . :-
  • Person handling the food should maintain personal hygiene.If one is sick ,he/she should not cook food.As,germs can easily be transferred to others .
  • Always wash hands with soap and warm water before cooking or even handling the food.
  • Wash the kitchen towels regularly .
  • Wash all the raw fruits and vegetables before cooking/preparation .
  • Keep the kitchen counter clean and clean up the spills as soon as possible.Don't let the spills stay for a long time as germs are likely to grow.
  • Keep the refrigerator clean and throw any food which is expired or stale.
  • Always put the date on the leftovers stored.
  • Always cover the lid while cooking.
  • Keep the knives and cutting/chopping board clean to avoid the growth of germs.
  • Keep all the utensils and gadgets in the kitchen cleaned and properly sanitized.
  • If you have a pet ,keep it away from the kitchen as the pets/pets hair are the home of bacteria and germs.
  • One who cooks should take Bathes/shower daily and should use clean clothes/garments.
    If the above common and useful sanitation tips are observed then food borne illnesses can be really prevented making cooking ,serving and dining really fun.
