Skin care duirng pregnancy:-
Skincare is essential during pregnancy ,Following tips should be followed :-
  • Due to stretching of the skin, the skin of the abdomen becomes dry. In addition, there appear melasma or acne blemishes on the face and the skin becomes rough. Most pregnant women experiencethese things. Also, the secretion of hormones from the placenta and ovary increase in order to nurture this time of childbearing, which is the main cause of melasma and acne blemishes. Acne is removed once the secretion of hormones is back to normal, however, melasma is generally not eliminated after childbirth, so prevention is important. Use sunblock lotion to prevent melasma from ultraviolet rays, and the prevention of acne requires double and deep cleansing as well as adequate sleep.
  • During pregnancy, the face tends to swell and become dry because of the change in metabolism. In this case, eat plain foods without many spices or seasoning and promote blood circulation through massage. Propping up your feet higher than the heart is also recommended(to avoid heart burn)
  • . At the end of pregnancy, the skin becomes dry due to the rapid bulging of the abdomen and the increase of adrenocortical hormones, for which because of its difficulty in eliminating, prevention is required using massage with lotion and oil. As hot water affects skin elasticity and hinders blood circulation, pregnant women should shower with warm water and apply preventive lotion containing vitamin A, C, collagen and amino acids to dry skin. Pregnancy may also cause dry, itchy skin as well as hair loss, but proper prevention _ nutritious meals and regular daily activities _ can help to maintain better health during pregnancy.
Remember,NEVER use 'Retinol' products as it has found to cause birth defects .
